We got our little dog Djinni through Sadies and she is a total joy. We have been so impressed with the professionalism, compassion and total devotion the Sadies folk bring to the cause, before, during, and long after the adoption. Can’t thank you enough for the little bundle of happiness you have brought into our lives!

UK Foster or Forever home needed 🐝🩷 Beautiful Bea 🩷 🐝 Devastatingly we have had this little Sadies girl surrendered back to the rescue and we are looking for her new home and a new start for her. The best bits …🐶 She is approx 8 years old 🐶 She has been in the U.K. for circa 5 years🐶 She is on the smaller side, although very overweight🐶 She is house trained🐶 She is spayed🐶 She is vaccinated 🐶 She is very loving and cuddly with those she is bonded with🐶 She walks on a lead, but is strongWhy was she surrendered …Sadly this little girls family feel their current situation means they can no longer manage Bea in their home. She’s had some scuffles with the other dogs in the home, she lived with three others, and has needed separating at times. What do you need to know about her behaviour …Her pre-surrender assessment indicates that since arrival in the U.K. 5 years ago she has exhibited reactivity to strange people and dogs when out on her lead. This has decreased with management and training over time, but is still something any new family would need experience with. Her reactivity towards strangers can manifest as barking and lunging, but has not resulted in a bite. However, there has been one recent incident where she nipped someone when separating her and another non-family dog during a scuffle. Since being in kennels for the past few weeks these behaviours have not been the problem they were in the home. She is wary of strangers, particularly men, but careful introductions have meant she can overcome this. Bea has shown that with careful management, a suitable environment and consistent guidance she can make appropriate decisions with regard to her behaviour. She just needs someone understanding to help her learn what to do. Once she knows you are a ‘safe’ human you will be barraged with snuggles and love. She is so incredibly cuddly and loves nothing more than a back scratch and a belly rub. She’s so loveable. So what do we need …🏠 Experienced foster/forever home🏠 Ideally a dog free home🏠 Cat free home 🏠 Adult only home🏠 A secure garden, but not necessarily a particularly high fence🏠 Willingness to do some ‘meet and greets’ if required🏠 Commitment to training and behavioural work (supported by the rescue if required)What we will do to support a foster home🛟 Access to her full behaviour report🛟 Cover veterinary costs🛟 Provide training/behaviour support 🛟 Provide 3rd party insurance🛟 Search for a forever home (please be prepared for this to be a long time coming in the current climate 😞)🛟 Support with other associated costs as required 🏡 Full Rescue Back Up would be given to a forever home Please message the team if you feel you can help Bea or complete our application form. sadies-dog-rescue.co.uk/dog-foster-application/sadies-dog-rescue.co.uk/apply-to-adopt-a-dog-from-sadies-dog-rescue/...
