Our stunning, gentle giant, Maisey is such an incredibly brave girl. She was rescued by the team after being hit by a car with injuries to her head and her legs. Tricky surgery to repair her leg took place but healing has not progressed as quickly as the vet would have expected, so Maisey was brought to the UK to continue her recovery.
Maisey was so lucky to have found herself the most amazing foster family to support her while she undergoes various treatments to aid her recovery. With her Sadies sister Winnie and the rest of the pack she is never short of a playmate and is loved so very much by her foster family.
Everyone who meets Maisey falls in love with her. Her gentle character and willingness to please means she is a firm favourite at the vets and specialists she visits.
Maisey will remain in foster whilst her treatment continues. This means we can keep a close eye on the care she is being given and be involved in any decisions. Maisey’s Guardians will help us ensure that this treatment is maintained, and includes regular painkilling medication, physio and hydrotherapy. Treatment has to be regular to be effective and her dedicated foster family make sure she’s there for every appointment.
As you can imagine weekly regular sessions with such skilled specialists come at a cost and we want always to be able to offer these to Maisey for as long as she needs. Her foster mummy is so good at helping us to raise money, but guardianships will go a long way to helping us meet these regular costs.
Your Guardianship of £10 a month will help ensure that we can pay for any future specialist costs to support Maisey’s treatment. If you wish to offer your Guardianship to Maisey you’ll receive a welcome pack which will tell you all about this amazing girl and detail the help you are giving. A special keyring will be a daily reminder of the difference you are making and a photo of Maisey can be displayed with pride in your home. Maisey will send you updates 3 times a year and you can ask us for additional updates at any time. She will also be in touch on special occasions!
